Oracle Update

I worked as a pl/sql developer for 5 years but I do have breaks in my career because of the kids. Now it has been almost 2 1/2 years I stopped working.

Now I would like to try for a job. But my skills in Oracle were out dated. What would be good career change for me to get a job based on present market conditions. I can easily learn new technologies but need to get a break.

Could you anyone what is easy to learn and which technologies have better jobs?
