b) Prospects of Oracle's native front-end - Developer suite 6i/9i/10g in the market and also w r t career.
c) What is Oracle Apps or 11i?
d) Which certification - DBA track, Developer track, Oracle apps / 11i,Datawarehouse
e) Datawarehouse / Data mining as a career?
f) Tools /subjects w r t Datawarehouse / Data mining - like Informatica, etc
g) ERP, SAP w r t Oracle
h) Any other tools / subjects to know w r t Oracle?
i) How about UNIX / Linux along with Oracle?

Could any of you suggest the best possible path or solution. I would be grateful to you all.
Thanks and Regards,

I've been working in a technical field for years (telecom) and I'm looking for a career change. (Telecom these days requires networking knowledge, Unix knowledge, Microsoft knowledge, understanding of protocols, and hardware)
I am planning to take the 3 courses required for a DBA (Oracle SQL, Admin I, Admin II), but obviously I won't be able to walk into a shop and be a DBA. I've read that starting as a developer is a way in, so I can take an additional PL/SQL class (I may take it anyway). I'm aware that I will need to take a pay cut to start and I am OK with that. Here are my questions:

How do I get started as a DBA?
Are their Entry Level DBA jobs in a shop with Sr. DBAs?
Is starting as a developer a valid way to get a foot in the door or is it a totally different carreer path?
What sort of starting pay can I expect?

as far as my knowledge my friend recently completed his ocp and now still he don not confident to complete his DBA because DBA course help is available in india there is no reliable coaching center available and he has also talk with tom MNC's HR and lots of them suggested him to change the field from DBA .because in field of DBA u have to wait for a long time to become a DBA with whole preveliges of system .

and as far as linux server administrator u have to chance for increment in your carrier and regarding their certification i have no idea keep in mind all above written statement .and then decide and i will suggest u that collect information from every source which is possible and take your own decision because this is your life and carrier. and Best of luck for your decision and carrier .
