Not too long ago, one of the Gmail engineers broke out her vinyl cutter and made some Gmail m-velope stickers. Pretty soon, they were pasted to our desks, stuck on our laptops, and adorning the walls around the office. Then other people started asking us about them -- first it was just other Googlers. But when a guy I was sitting next to on an airplane asked where he could get a Gmail sticker, we realized other people might like them too.


So we designed some more, and printed up a whole bunch.























There's the standard Gmail m-velope -- dressed up in glitter. One of three bookplate style stickers you can stick on anything from the inside of a favorite book to your laptop or your skateboard. (Trading with friends is encouraged -- we realize the unicorn isn't for everyone.) And there's a sheet of keyboard shortcut stickers intended as a tool to help people learn Gmail's shortcuts. The adhesive is a bit more removable than standard stickiness, so you can take them off once you've trained your fingers.



So how do you get your stickers? We may be all about speedy electronic communication, but this time we're going old school with snail mail. Just send a self-addressed stamped envelope (along with a note if you're so inclined) to:

Little Johnny's at it again.....

A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses.
She started her class by saying, "Everyone who thinks they're stupid, stand up!"
After a few seconds, Little Johnny stood up.
The teacher said, "Do you think you're stupid, Little Johnny?"
"No, ma'am, but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself!"

Little Johnny watched, fascinated, as his mother smoothed cold cream on her face.
"Why do you do that, mommy?" he asked.
"To make myself beautiful," said his mother, who then began removing the cream with a tissue. "What's the matter?" asked Little Johnny. "Giving up?"

The math teacher saw that little Johnny wasn't paying attention in class.
She called on him and said, "Johnny! What are 2 and 4 and 28 and 44?"
Little Johnny quickly replied, "NBC, FOX, ESPN and the Cartoon Network!"

Little Johnny's kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals.
One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person.
"Yes," said the policeman. "The detectives want very badly to capture him."
Little Johnny asked, "Why didn't you keep him when you took his picture ?"

Little Johnny attended a horse auction with his father.
He watched as his father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the horse's legs and rump, and chest.
After a few minutes, Johnny asked, "Dad, why are you doing that?"
His father replied, "Because when I'm buying horses, I have to make sure that they are healthy and in good shape before I buy.
Johnny, looking worried, said, "Dad, I think the UPS guy wants to buy Mom .

9 Words Women Use

1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

8. Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F@!K YOU!

9. Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.

Raised in Vancouver and Toronto, Severn Cullis-Suzuki has been camping and hiking all her life. When she was 9 she started the Environmental Children's Organization (ECO), a small group of children committed to learning and teaching other kids about environmental issues. If you want to learn quickly then, the best way is to get training from Oracle University or from best place/friend you know.

If you have time, a Desktop/Laptop and Internet access, download and install Oracle DB first. This install will create a shell Database for you; there are many resources on net that can get you started in the above areas.

Oracle consists of so many of products, you need to assess the product itself and decide as to what segment within Oracle umbrella you wish to focus on.

For instance, Oracle Developer (PL/SQL, SQL, Forms, Reports etc), Oracle DBA (maintaining/tuning critical DBs, backups etc..), Oracle/Hyperion (Data warehousing, BI), Oracle Application etc..

Once you decide on which area you wish to focus on, I would definitely take an Oracle class to get a quick jump-start either thru Oracle University or other 3rd party companies that provide Oracle training.

Once you do that, you can use the combination of the Internet resources and Books as well.

Pdt. Bigman Sirait --- PEKERJAAN di dalam kekristenan merupakan bagian yang “menempel” pada diri manusia karena memang manusia diciptakan Tuhan sebagai makhluk pekerja. Manusia sebagai makhluk pekerja harus bekerja.
Ada orang yang sejak lahir sudah mengalami cacat dan lain hal sehingga tidak bisa bekerja, tentu ini sebuah pengecualian. Jadi tidak ada alasan untuk tidak bekerja. Karena itu setiap orang jangan menghina dirinya dengan tidak bekerja, melainkan menghargai diri dengan membekali diri untuk bisa bekerja.
Kita harus melakukan pekerjaan sungguh-sungguh. Kita tidak boleh tidak bekerja dengan berbagai alasan yang tidak pas. Rasul Paulus dalam II Tessalonika 3: 10-12, antara lain berkata, “Kalau tidak bekerja, jangan makan!” Ini teguran yang sangat telak terhadap orang-orang di Tessalonika karena mereka diwarnai konsep kekacauan soal kedatangan Yesus, sampai ada beberapa orang dengan kemalasannya, tidak mau bekerja. Paulus menegur mereka dengan keras, “Kalau tidak mau bekerja, jangan makan!” Karena itu pekerja Kristen harus menjadi pekerja yang bertanggung jawab penuh. “Orang yang bekerja berhak untuk makan, yang tidak bekerja jangan makan!” Kalimat ini juga perlu diperhatikan serius oleh kita yang hidup di jaman ini.
Pertarungan di dalam dunia kerja begitu luar biasa. Orang begitu gesit menggunakan waktunya. Bahkan dengan dalih lembur kadang kala orang bekerja lebih 12 jam setiap hari. Untuk meningkatkan harta, orang tidak lagi mengenal hari Minggu sebagai hari libur. Tapi bukan model kerja seperti itu yang dimaksud Tuhan. Kita tidak perlu menjadi workholic, menganggap pekerjaan adalah segalanya, bahkan menjadikan pekerjaan itu tuhan (berhala). Tuhan tidak mau kita seperti itu, dan bukan itu yang dimaksud Alkitab. Kita juga tidak bisa berdalih karena Tuhan Yesus mau datang maka tidak bekerja. Justru Tuhan Yesus mau datang kita harus bekerja baik-baik.
Kesalahan orang Kristen, karena membuat split antara pekerjaan dan pelayanan. Martin Luther berkata, “Ketika engkau bekerja engkau sedang berdoa”. Nah orang membuat split, memisahkan pekerjaan dengan pelayanan, sehingga kadang-kadang pelayanan diberi konotasi sebagai sesuatu yang suci, sakral, lalu kerja itu sekuler. Pemisahan ini kurang bisa dipertanggungjawabkan, karena sebenarnya seluruh aktivitas kita kan untuk Tuhan. Oleh karena itu kita tidak boleh memilah-milah, memisahkan hal itu, sehingga nanti dengan dalih rohani justru tidak bekerja. Nah justru yang tidak kerja itu yang tidak rohani.
Kalau hanya pendeta yang disebut pekerja rohani, dan yang lain sekuler, berarti sorga kosong melompong, karena hanya pendeta yang masuk sorga. Semua orang bertanggung jawab pada prinsip yang sama, tugas yang sama. Kita mengemban tugas untuk bersaksi tentang Tuhan dalam bidang yang berbeda. Karena itu, bekerjalah dengan penuh tanggung jawab.

Iman tanpa perbuatan
Berdoa adalah sesuatu yang sangat rohani dalam pengertian sesuatu yang harus kita kerjakan. Berdoa itu adalah bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari hidup kita. Tetapi ketika kita tidak bekerja dengan dalih berdoa, muncul tanda tanya, “Waktu berdoa kita bertemu dengan siapa?” Kalau ketemu Tuhan pasti digerakkan untuk bertanggung jawab di tengah dunia ini. Kalau ketemu Tuhan pasti digerakkan untuk terjun menolong orang. Yakobus pernah mengkritik orang-orang Kristen yang dengan pongah berkata, “Aku punya iman”. Yakobus langsung balik bertanya, “Kalau kau punya iman mana perbuatanmu?”
Kita jangan terjebak pada perangkap yang salah sampai tidak lagi bisa menikmati keutuhan kekristenan. Ada jutaan mata mengamati kehidupan orang Kristen, di dalam tanggung jawab kerjanya. Kalau kita menyebut diri seorang Kristen yang baik, maka kita harus menyelesaikan dengan baik pekerjaan yang menjadi tanggung jawab kita. Jangan lari dari tanggung jawab itu. Kalau sudah begini bagaimana kita mau memuliakan Tuhan?
Kalau target kerja kita saja tidak selesai, yang bisa diukur secara kuantitatif dan langsung kelihatan, bagaimana secara kualitatif? Pertanggungjawaban keuangan misalnya, kalau kita betul-betul seorang Kristen mestinya akurat, satu sen pun bisa dipertanggungjawabkan. Tetapi kalau pertanggungjawaban itu selalu meleset dengan dalih tidak bisa mengaturnya, tidak menguasainya, kita tidak bisa membuatnya secara tepat, bagaimana kita mengaku sebagai pekerja Kristen? Sementara di luar sana ada orang yang bukan Kristen selalu tepat. Orang-orang pun bingung, mana Kristen mana yang bukan? Maka adalah sangat memalukan jika kita yang Kristen bekerja dengan cara yang tidak Kristen, sementara orang yang bukan Kristen itu bekerja dengan cara Kristen.
Jika orang-orang Kristen punya responsibility, tanggung jawab, maka saya percaya dunia kerja akan mencari pekerja-pekerja kristiani. Tetapi maafkan bila saya mengucapkan satu kalimat yang mungkin tidak enak di kuping: banyak sekali pekerja Kristen yang sulit dipercaya dan diandalkan. Nah ini menjadi pergumulan dan pertarungan. Yesus sendiri mengkritik dan berkata, “Anak-anak gelap itu lebih cerdik dari anak-anak terang”. Orang-orang dunia lebih cerdik memanfaatkan situasi, membenahi dan mengembangkan kemampuan dirinya.
Kalau jujur melihat sejarah, pekerja-pekerja Kristen ini sebenarnya luar biasa, bisa diandalkan, mampu dan kuat bersaing, punya kelas, punya mutu. Eropa harus bersyukur karena kemajuan mereka itu pengaruh Kristen yang sangat besar sekali. Tetapi sayang, Eropa lupa akan Tuhan. Amerika maju, itu pengaruh Kristen yang sangat besar. Tetapi sayang mereka juga mulai lupa Tuhan. Dunia Barat maju dan berkembang karena kekristenan. Tetapi kemudian mereka menjualnya menodainya menjadikannya isme-isme kapitalis.
Karena itu, ini menjadi pergumulan bagaimana kita menempatkan posisi sebagai pekerja Kristen yang bertanggung jawab di dalam berbagai aspek bidang yang kita geluti dan gumuli, supaya itu semua bisa menjadi puji hormat bagi nama Tuhan.v (Diringkas dari kaset khotbah oleh Hans P.Tan)
